I was just reading about that. I was one of those millions of young guys that had this famous red swimsuit poster on my wall back in the day!
Sorry to see you go Farrah. RIP |

Whoa! Creepy. Two celebs in one day. Didn't Ed McMahon just die a few days ago as well?

Sad day. Two icons from my adolescence are gone--it's like my history is dying. (Even Ed, as I grew up watching The Tonight Show w/Johnny Carson).
So many musical icons die young: Elvis Michael John Lennon Jim Morrison Kurt Cobain Keith Moon Patsy Cline Hank Williams Buddy Holly Jimi Hendrix And so many others..... |

When I was a kid I thought Farrah was the hottest woman on earth. Yeah, I had that poster. I also had the Logan's Run Farrah poster.
An angel has flown. May Farrah rest in peace. |

This one? so did I.
I wonder if anyone has talked to Lee Majors about her death. I know they divorced way back in '82....... |

I've been waiting for someone to do a remake on Logan's Run for years. Like David Cronenberg for instance. But they need to do it right and follow the
book much more closely. The book is much more detailed, dark and nasty in a lot of ways. With special effects being what they are today, it would be awesome.

You didn't like the tv series? YUM Gregory Harrison. Ewww, Blanche from Golden Girls had those shoes!

I loved Farrah. REST IN PEACE, ANGEL. Michael... not a fan but it was a shock. The freakshow stories are really coming out now. Sad all around. His father
appears to be a real monster. Wonder how many people are gonna try to ride the MJ gravy train for crispy cash?

joeywegesa wrote:Yes, precisely my complaint about many recent movies. Not enough interaction between the characters and WAY too much constant, ultra-fast, graphic, and violent action overload .... like watching a video game instead of a movie. It drives me crazy. I'm a Trekkie but I hated the latest Star Trek film. It was like Star Trek Nemisis (which sucked) on amphetamines. |

I'll have to disagree on the new STAR TREK. I really enjoyed it. We'll see how it goes with the next installment.
Nemesis did suck and was boring. I'm on the Next Generation tip as far as my ST fandom. That's my favorite crew and series. First Contact is still the best ST film out of them all IMO. |

The new Star Trek surprised me with some good acting despite the accelerated effects. Bones was so on point. DeForest Kelley would have been proud. Nemesis
was a travesty. It made Insurrection look really good. First Contact, Wrath Of Khan, Undiscovered Country and The Voyage Home are the best Trek movies.
The problem with Terminator Salvation is that they forgot that family bond that carried through the first 2 movies and the TV show. And I didn't feel for John. he was just some guy. Killing Sarah Connor was just a mistake and why Terminator 3 failed. I really enjoyed the Sarah Connor Chronicles because it dwelled on characterization more than action. Too bad it's gone. |

ERIC031 wrote:I guess my main beef with the new Star Trek is that the action was soooo intense and fast-paced. I like to take in everything in a scene and many were too fleeting to appreciate. Maybe I'm just getting too old for all the excitement. The guy who played spock did a good job but his tryst with Uhura was bizarre. I didn't like the guy who played Kirk, I dunno why. Star Trek Enterprise continues to grow on me, it may be my fave, especially T'Pol. |
